Sparta Systems delivered a £3,800,000 SFS, Drylining, Plastering and ceilings package for BAM at the Daphne Steel Building at the University of Huddersfield.

The Daphne Steel Building is a part of Huddersfield Universities National Health Innovation Campus; a flagship building to provide educational space specialising in Health Professional courses.

Sparta Systems Carried out the extensive SFS and external linings package to provide an airtight frame. We carried out the internal drylining, plastering, ceilings and acoustic panel packages across all 7 floors.

This was an extremely challenging project with two 21m high atriums which required extensive co-ordination and sequencing. The upper floors had extensive SAS raft ceilings requiring meticulous setting out and installation.

The project ran from September 2023 to August 2024 with 48 of Sparta Systems’ operatives on site during peak times. The project was led by Dave Fordham, John Rowley, Mark Hainsworth and Michael Boyes.
