Sparta Systems were appointed by Wates to deliver the £1,300,000 SFS, drylining, plastering, suspended ceilings and firestopping package at the Doris Storey House, located in Seacroft, Leeds.
Named in honour of the late East Leeds swimmer Doris Storey, who was just 19 when she won two gold medals in Sydney at the Empire Games of 1938, the development comprises of a block of 25 social housing apartments along with 8 Townhouses.
Sparta Systems carried out the SFS frame using the Remagin SFS System from Etex, along with the internal; finishes supported by Siniat. We also carried out the firestopping package, coordination with all parties alongside Quelfire, one of our primary supply chain partners.
The project ran from August 2024 to August 2025. The site team involved Dave Fordham, Andrei Bagrin, Mark Hainsworth and Shaun Bates. At peak times, Sparta Systems had 25 operatives on site.
