Sparta Systems were appointed by Wates to deliver a £150,000 drylining, plastering and suspended ceilings package at The British Library in Wetherby.

B33 is a fully automated storage facility for The British Library. Sparta Systems constructed the Airlock between the storage facility and the public realm, along with new WC facilities. We we’re involved in ensuring that the building passes its air tightness test to be one of the best performing buildings in Europe.

The site team involved 4 operatives, led by Dave Metcalfe and Andrei Bagrin with the project running from September 2024 to February 2026. Multiple visits we’re required due to site logistics and contract conditions.
